How to get iPod referrals in your community

New Here? Well take a look at the Free iPod Guide with step-by-step instructions first.

Now I'm assuming you've been reading from the bottom. I've already said how to get referrals from friends and family as well as how to dodge pitfalls. Now I will talk more about how to get referrals from strangers.

Here is the hierarchy of likelihood

Family
Friends
Local Community
Internet

The further down the hierarchy you go, the more people you will have to reach for ONE of them to sign up. We see that effort is better spent locally and offline for the most part.

So lets talk locations, I will make a couple of scenarios where one can get referrals.

I'm a college student on campus and I need referrals
First I would start with fliers, but your link that they have to follow is too strange for people to remember. That is where the redirect address comes in. There are a lot of services such as ShortUrl (google it) that will allow you to register a domain for free that links to a new address. You simply come up with something catchy and easy to remember then get a redirect address and post that on your flier, then post that flier wherever it is allowed. Keep in mind that posting fliers where they do not belong is a bad idea and at best they will be torn down quickly.

Second off I would talk to classmates, have them all go in with you. If you get 8 friends to work together and each sign up for 8 sites they will get one prize of referral value 8 each. Shared burden, shared rewards. It's far easier to convince people this way.

Finally you've got what I call ballooning. Tape your redirect link onto some candy or condoms and scatter them about dining halls and freshman dormitories. This requires investment and most of the URLs will be ignored, but really you only need a few positives and candy is cheap (Condoms can be acquired for free from student health centers)

Help! I am a high school student and I need referrals

Well you are probably too young for the terms of service agreement and will be disqualified if you win anyways, but if you are a freakishly old school child you can follow some of the same steps as above. I would not recommend condoms for promotions though. Your best bet as a high schooler is to go outside your school to get people to sign up. People in high school rarely have access to credit cards which are required for completing the offers, and parents would doubt the veracity of this free I-pod claim.

I'm just a regular working person and I need referrals

Well if you've exhausted the first two hierarchy steps I'd recommend talking to people at the workplace. If your coworkers sound unsure of your intentions assure them that this will be a group effort. Do not lie to them because you will have to deal with them for long periods of time.

You could send out emails in your workplace if it is an office, but that would be only really useful if you've already won one prize. Then after presenting it to them, sign up for a second free prize offer and get them to rally underneath you, now that they are doubters no more.

Caution: Don't be that man/woman who spams everyone on the work server everyday. You know who I'm talking about.

Ok that does it for today. Next week I'll be talking about your last resort, the internet.

Well as always, if you are going to do this deal, mught as well use my referral link if I've been helpful to you.

Getting Free Apple iPod Touch Referrals

New here? Check out the Free iPod Guide with step-by-step instructions.

For those of you new to this site, best to start at the bottom post and work your way up.

So you have an account but you don't know how to get those pesky referrals. You can just TASTE that new I-Pod Touch, but you can't get any closer to it. What can you do?

Referrals are a major choke-point in the free i-pod process. So many people try to score freebies and give up at this stage because it is simply too hard for them.

Well they are wrong! Referrals aren't nearly as hard to obtain as people believe, most are merely intimidated by the prospect of obtaining referrals. It is a lot easier than you'd think.

So here are some of the best ways to get those referrals that you need.

#1. Friends and Family
Before you so much as start to look on the internet for referrals, look at the people in your own community. Out of all of your friends and family, surely you can find some who'd be interested in helping you, whether it be for the sake of helping you or for themselves.

What if they think it's a scam?
Other than reassuring them that you've done your research (which it doesn't hurt to actually do) the best way to convince them that this is legitimate is to complete your offer first, showing them that you trust the company, why shouldn't they?

Remember, even though you should seek out friends and family for help with this, don't be a pest or a "door-to-door spammer"

That's it for today kids, check back later for more tips on refs and more!

Remember, if I've helped you with this guide, help me.

Ways to not get an iPod Touch

New Here? Well take a look at the Free iPod Guide with step-by-step instructions first.

So if you've read the intro you have some idea on how to get a free Apple iPod if you want to know what to do scroll down and look at it, even with the site I researched there are some pitfalls.

Here are some ways to keep from getting burned:

1. ALWAYS read the fine print on the offers before you accept them, some have hidden fees, some do not. There are plenty of good offers just so long as you know what's going on.
2. NEVER register or check your free iPod account from a public location. The network checks for fraud if people are running multiple accounts on one IP address and if someone else is using the same service from the same public location or same internet connection (IE roomates in a dorm or house) then it will register as fraud and close the account for both people
3. Clear your browser's cookies and turn them on and lower your firewall before clicking on an offer link. It increases the chances the offer registers the first time and you won't have to talk to tech support later.
4. Use your real information, don't try to cheat the system. Transcendent Innovations is a legitimate company with a legitimate giveaway, but they do invest in fraud protection to keep from being cheated. If you are caught your account will be terminated or worse. I've talked to tech support, they are really friendly and nice. It is a good company so treat them with respect.
5. Don't spam your referral link. There are plenty of legitimate ways to get referrals.

That's pretty much it. I hope that's not too intimidating, it's pretty easy to do this right and if there is a misunderstanding it can easily be cleared up in support.
